A Higher Perspective

Have you ever been, or wanted to ride in a hot air balloon, gracefully and silently viewing the landscape below? Artist Brad Aldridge has done just that, and for those of us who haven’t had the experience, his latest show is filled with paintings from this “higher perspective.” Whether it is sailing over the tranquil French landscape north of Paris, landing in London, or catching the breeze over New York’s Botanical Gardens, Idaho’s mighty Snake River, or the foothills of the Utah mountains, Aldridge’s paintings are sure to provide a breath of serenity on which your eye can rest. With calm, tonalist colors, the landscapes of Brad Aldridge create the feeling of looking out through a window. His paintings are accented by his unique, hand-made frames which perfectly complement the vistas in his paintings. Thursday, January 27th from 6:00-9:00 PM is his second solo show at Bonner David Galleries. His work will hang until February 9, 2011.

Postcards from Hawaii

Despite our cold snap in Arizona, January 14th promises all the warmth of Hawaii as our noted botanical artist Dyana Hesson premiers her “Postcards from Hawaii” paintings.  Sixteen new works will feature the topical beauty of the Hawaiian islands, a place very special to Dyana.  Her show begins with the 3rd annual fundraiser for Show Hope, an organization designed to help adoptive families as they prepare for the financial burdens of welcoming a new child to their families.  This distinctive show will delight all those who feel the need for a dose of Hawaii this winter.
