Show Opens: Thursday, February 21, 2019
Special Artist’s Reception: Thursday, February 28, 2019

After incorporating his own style into his traditional paintings, Nocona Burgess feels a connection to them as well, and sees his paintings as a way of saying ‘thank you to Indians for their sacrifices’. Nocona’s work this season pays homage to one of his influences, T.C. Cannon.

Along with his artist’s reception, Scottsdale Gallery Association will be holding a Native Spirit Gold Palette ArtWalk on February 28th, paying homage to Native American artists.

Hesson’s paintings on display at the Mayo Clinic are in the gallery on the first floor of the hospital by the outpatient waiting room.

On the heels of her successful 25th anniversary show and publication of her book Radiance, gallery favorite Dyana Hesson has opened a new exhibition at the Mayo Clinic at 5777 E. Mayo Blvd. in Phoenix. Mayo Clinic is internationally known as a front-runner in healthcare and their selection of Dyana to showcase her work by their outpatient waiting area is another indication of their leadership.

Should you have occasion to visit Mayo, make sure you make a point to see Dyana’s work which will be on display through the end of October. Also mark your calendar for her annual show, opening April 20, 2017 with Claudia Hartley, entitled “Near and Far.”

Ending the Year in Style!

Starting off the busy evening with an intimate crowd

Thank you to everyone who came out Thursday night for the Michael Carson and Small Works Shows. The night was a huge success with red dots decorating the walls. Carson and his wife will now be calling Phoenix home, so the evening proved to be a great opportunity for the pair to experience true Phoenician hospitality. Four Peaks Brewery was kind enough to sponsor the event by providing their award winning beer which kept the night festive. Adding to the elegance of the evening were Harpist VeeRonna Ragonne and flutist Sherry Finzer (Dulce VAS) who performed holiday classics.
